Kano Pillars welcome defending champions Enyimba Int'l FC to Sani Abacha Stadium

All eyes will be on Kano Pillars as they aim to return to winning ways after a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Sporting Lagos FC in the Match Day 7 fixtures of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Monday night show, which was played at Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos.
The Sai Masu Gida team will now have to rely on their home support for the Match Day 8 fixtures as they welcome a formidable opponent, Enyimba International FC of Aba, to Kano.
The Abdul Maikaba-tutored Pillars have been lackluster in the ongoing league with a series of uninspiring matches and an overdependence on veteran 43-year-old striker, Rabiu Ali.
Monday night's 0-3 whitewash against Sporting Lagos suggests a team with internal conflicts.
On the other hand, the visitors, People's Elephant, were able to secure a comfortable maximum point against Kwara United FC last weekend in Aba and will aim to stop Pillars in Kano.
While Kano Pillars will look to their experienced captain, Rabiu Ali, to deliver the required performance, other players in the squad also need to step up their games.
For the Finidi George-tutored Enyimba, striker Chijioke Mbaoma will be expected to deliver once again.
Head to head: In the last five meetings, Kano Pillars have had the upper hand with three wins against Enyimba, who recorded just two wins.
Prediction: Kano Pillars to win.
