Kano Pillars unveil former Rangers Int'l FC's Coach, Maikaba as new gaffer

A former Rangers International FC's Coach, Abdu Maikaba was on Monday officially unveiled as the new Head Coach of Nigeria Premier League side, Kano Pillars.
Kano Pillars FC on Monday evening July 24, unveiled Maikaba as their new head coach.
Africa Sport Network (ASN) reports that Maikaba had in last month voluntarily tendered his resignation letter to his former club, Flying Antelopes of Enugu after a disappointing season.
Maikaba had lost in the finals of the 2023 Federation Cup to Bendel Insurance of Benin and also had a stormy performance in the last 2022/2023 Nigeria Premier League having escaped relegation by whiskers in the last game of the match.
Maikaba in his resignation letter to the Enugu outfit cited family reasons for calling it quit. The expected gaffer later returned to the bench with the newly promoted Sai Masu Gida outfit as the Head Coach.
The former Rangers International FC gaffer will be assisted by Abubakar Musa (Senior), Ahmad Garba (Yaro Yaro), Gambo Muhammad with Auwalu Abbas as the goalkeeper trainer.
The unveiling ceremony was held at the Deputy Governor’s office amidst jubilation from Kano Pillars fans.
Abdu Maikaba is expected to lead the newly promoted Sai Masu Gida side to a successful campaign in the 2023-24 Nigeria Premier League season.
