The Kano State Government has revealed that it will soon announce a new management board for Kano Pillars FC, the state's flagship football club.
This was disclosed by the Chief of Staff, Shehu Wada Sagagi, representing Governor Engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf, at the opening ceremony of the 2nd Edition of Military and Para-Military Formations Games in Kano State at Sani Abacha Stadium, Kano.
According to Sagagi, the new management board is part of the state government's efforts to revitalize sports in Kano and restore Kano Pillars FC to its former glory.
He assured that the proposal for the new management board has been submitted and is awaiting the Governor's approval.
Sagagi expressed the government's appreciation for the Sports Commission's efforts, under the leadership of Acting Chairman Malam Bala Sani, in organizing the competitions, which aim to foster synergy and understanding between security agencies and the general public in Kano State.
During the event, the Nigerian Air Force defeated KAROTA 2-1 in football. The announcement has generated excitement among football enthusiasts in Kano, who are eagerly awaiting the unveiling of the Kano Pillars FC's new management board.
