The management of Kano Pillars has formally terminated the contract of their newly recruited Technical Adviser, Paul Offor, just a few weeks after he was appointed by the previous board, which was dismissed by the Kano State government.
The new board decided to part ways with Offor without giving him a chance to prove his capabilities.
In response to his dismissal, Offor chose not to dwell on the situation but instead penned an emotional letter to the club and the players.
The letter reads as follows:
To the Kano Pillars community, including supporters, players, and staff,
I am writing to inform you that, after a series of discussions with the club's management, we have mutually agreed to part ways.
While my time at Kano Pillars has been brief, I have greatly appreciated the opportunity to work with such a passionate and committed group.
This decision was reached amicably and is based on a mutual understanding that it is in the best interest of both parties to pursue different paths.
Although my stay here was shorter than anticipated, I hold no regrets and cherish the experiences and connections made during this time.
To the players, thank you for your hard work, dedication, and professionalism. It has been an honor to coach such a talented group, and I have full confidence in your abilities to achieve great things on and off the field.
To the fans, although the period was short, your passion for the club was evident and felt with every breeze I experienced in Kano. I encourage you to continue supporting the team with the same vigor.
To the staff, thank you for your support and collaboration.
While my journey with Kano Pillars has come to an end, I am excited about the future and the new opportunities that lie ahead.
I will always look back fondly on my time here and wish the club nothing but success in its future endeavors.
Thank you all for your understanding and support during this transitional period.
