The Chairman of Kano Pillars FC, Babangida Umar (Little), has called on the fans of the club to come out en masse to support the team in their quest to ensure a resounding win over the visiting Doma United FC of Gombe.
As the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) resumes with Match Day 33 after a month-long break, Sai Masu Gida will welcome the Savannah Tigers to the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano.
The ex-soccer star enjoined the fans to throng the stadium as early as possible in view of the importance of the game to the side.
According to him, earning the vital points is of high significance as the league reaches its climax, hence the survival of the fittest.
He also reminded them of the need to uphold decency in watching the game, considering how the team has now become a focal point, thus the urgent need to be extra careful, as such exemplary act will prove cynics wrong.
The two-time chairman extended his appreciation to the leadership of the fans club under Rabiu Kawo for his commendable guidance since assuming the post, calling on him to sustain the tempo regardless of the pressure, given the stiff challenges before him and the need to deliver.
Alhaji Babangida Umar Little expressed optimism that nothing would stop his boys from humiliating Doma United of Gombe in front of their avid supporters at their traditional home ground, Sani Abacha Stadium Kofar Mata.
Little also called upon the technical crew and the players to buckle up aimed at attaining the much-required dividend, considering how Kano Pillars have been a household name in football circles across the length and breadth of the country.
It could be recalled that Sai Masu Gida occupied the 10th position on the log with 44 points from 32 matches, while their counterparts Doma United are 15th with 40 points from 32 matches.
Kano Pillars are in poor form in the NPFL, having won 12 home games at Sani Abacha Stadium.
