Kano Pillars FC announced on Monday a two-week break for its players and technical crew following the successful completion of the 2023/2024 Premier League season. The team finished in 11th position with 52 points after playing thirty-eight matches.
The Media Officer, Shariff Zaharaddeen, stated that the Executive Chairman, Alhaji Babangida Umar Little, mentioned that the break was intended to allow the players and technical crew to relax and prepare for upcoming engagements. He also announced that only players and technical crew members who receive invitations will be reintegrated into the team for the 2024/25 soccer season.
The Executive Chairman invited interested individuals to apply for the vacant position of Technical Adviser of the team. "Applicants are required to submit their applications to the team's office within one week."
Alhaji Babangida Umar Little expressed appreciation for the support of the Kano State Governor, Alh Abba Kabir Yusuf, and the Commissioner of Sports, Hon. Mustapha Rabi'u Musa Kwankwaso, during the league campaign. He also praised the Fans Club for their unwavering support and promised that the team would strive to win the league next season.
The Acting Coach, Ahmed Garba Yaro, commended the leadership for the opportunity to manage the team and praised the players for their commitment and dedication. He also thanked the fans for their support, expressing hope for a successful season ahead.
