Kafr Qasim won European Beach Soccer Championship in penalty shootout

The Bnei Felfela Kafr Qasim team, representing Israel in the European Beach Soccer Championship, won the tournament by defeating Italian side Pisa in a dramatic final. The game ended in a 2-2 draw, leading to a penalty shootout where Kafr Qasim emerged victorious with a score of 5-3.
This marked the first time an Israeli team won the championship in beach soccer. Kafr Qasim had earlier defeated Spain's Huelva and France's Marseille in the quarterfinals and semifinals, respectively. The team, founded in 2007, has been successful in the Beach Soccer League and has won six championships.
The owner, Nimr Amer, has built a strong team with foreign players such as Brazillian Damish and Swiss players Elliott, Glenn David Hoddle, and Noel Ott. Despite their achievements, Kafr Qasim claims to have received no financial support or representation from government agencies.
The Beach Soccer League, which was popular in Israel, has been on hold since 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, making Kafr Qasim the last team to win the championship and represent Israel in the Champions League.
