Kada Warriors Football Club finally broke their home win drought at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna, securing a 2-0 victory over their opponents, visiting Kebbi United FC, in the ongoing Nigeria National League (NNL) season.
The match, which saw the return of excitement to the stadium, was played with great enthusiasm by both teams.
The hero of the day was Nazim Amokachi, the son of the ex-Super Eagles player, who scored both goals for Kada Warriors FC in the first half.
The talented forward netted his first goal in the 18th minute, giving his team the lead.
He doubled the scoreline in the 40th minute, leaving the opposition reeling. Amokachi's impressive performance marked a historic moment for the club, as he became the first player to score a brace in a single match this season.
The match also saw the debut of a newly signed player, another of the Amokachi brothers, who made an impact on the game. Under the guidance of Coach Danlami Kwasau, the team’s strategy paid off, and the players executed their roles flawlessly.
The General Manager of Kada Warriors FC, Garba Lawal, described the victory as phenomenal and congratulated the team on their hard work and dedication.
"This win is a testament to the team’s resilience and determination. After nine weeks, we finally get to celebrate a home win, and it’s a great feeling," Lawal said.
With the momentum gained from this victory, Kada Warriors FC will now focus on their upcoming away match against Doma United.
The team will look to build on its success and secure another win to further solidify its position on the league table.
