Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp insists his players are already giving their utmost, rejecting the notion that his impending departure needs to serve as added motivation for the team to secure the Premier League title this season.
Klopp, who announced his decision to step down after an illustrious eight-and-a-half-year tenure at Anfield, emphasized that nothing has changed in the team's approach since the announcement. The German manager expressed a desire to win the league but remains focused on the present and the challenges ahead.
The 56-year-old Klopp, who has led Liverpool to numerous honors, including the Champions League and Premier League titles, downplayed the impact of his departure on the team's performance. While acknowledging that winning the league would be a significant achievement, Klopp emphasized that he is not a dreamer and remains grounded in the reality of the season's challenges.
Despite the impending departure, Klopp's Liverpool is currently at the top of the Premier League table, participating in various competitions, including the FA Cup, Carabao Cup final, and the Europa League round of 16.
As Liverpool prepares to face title rivals Arsenal, Klopp appreciates the team's commitment at 100% and suggested that generating a few extra percentage points might not be necessary, given the team's existing dedication and focus on their current objectives.
