Judith Chime Invitational Football Championship Set to Take Centre Stage on Sunday

All is set for the much-anticipated kick-off of the 1st edition of the Judith Chime Invitational Football Competition, scheduled to take place in Enugu State from December 13th to 21st, 2024.

 

The tournament, sponsored by former Super Falcons goalkeeper Judith Chime and organized by the Judith Chime Foundation, will feature 19 female teams comprising players aged 15 to 22, drawn from various parts of Nigeria.

 

The championship is expected to attract notable personalities, including the First Lady of Enugu State, Mrs. Nkechinyere Mbah, as the Chief Host, and HRM Ambassador (Dr.) Fashola Omolara, who will attend as a special guest. Another distinguished guest is Chief (Mrs.) Uzoamaka Mary-Maudline Ogbonna Nwifuru, the First Lady of Ebonyi State.

 

According to Judith Chime, the tournament is one of several life-changing initiatives by the Judith Chime Foundation, designed to provide a platform and lifeline for indigent but talented girls to showcase their skills and pursue opportunities in football.
