Iwobi triumphs against Everton as Adarabioyo sends Fulham to EFL Cup semifinal

Super Eagles standout, Alex Iwobi, celebrated victory over his former team Everton as Fulham eliminated The Toffees from the EFL Cup quarterfinals in a penalty shootout. 

 

Despite Everton's comeback from a goal down to force extra time, Nigerian-eligible defender Tosin Adarabioyo secured Fulham's win with the decisive penalty, propelling them into the EFL Cup semifinals.

Fulham initially took the lead with an own goal from Everton's Michael Keane, countered by a late equalizer from Portuguese striker Beto. 

 

The match proceeded to penalties, where Adarabioyo's successful spot-kick ensured Fulham's progression, making up for Bobby Decordova-Reid's earlier miss.
