Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi opened the scoring for Fulham in their thrilling 3-2 victory over Wolverhampton Wanderers at Craven Cottage on Monday.
Celebrating his 300th club appearance, Iwobi netted just seven minutes into the game, connecting with Antonee Robinson's cross to put the Cottagers in the lead. Despite a goal from Matheus Cunha for Wolves, the first half ended level.
The second half saw early action as Fulham earned a penalty in the 58th minute, converted by former Chelsea star Willian to make it 2-1. Hwang Hee-Chan later equalized for Wolves from the spot in the 75th minute.
As the game seemed headed for a draw, Fulham secured a late penalty, confidently dispatched by Willian to secure the 3-2 victory. The win propels Fulham to 14th place in the table.
Iwobi, marking his first Premier League goal for Fulham, would be pleased with his performance in the dramatic encounter.
