Itel Partners with Optima Energy Gold Cup

Itel has announced its partnership with the 12th edition of the Optima Energy Gold Cup Pre-season Tournament, sponsoring the Player of the Match award. The tournament, featuring defending champions Beyond Limits, will see nine other football clubs from Nigeria's three-tier division leagues—Nigeria Premier Football League, Nigeria National League, and Nationwide League One—along with a visiting team from West Africa, compete for top honors.

 

The matches will take place at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne and the FC Ebedei Stadium in Sagamu from Thursday, August 15th to Saturday, August 24th, 2024. Omachona Eguda, itel’s ATL Marketing Manager, expressed enthusiasm about honoring exceptional talent with the Player of the Match awards, emphasizing the brand's commitment to sportsmanship and community spirit in Nigeria.

 

Tunde Shamsudeen, speaking to the tournament's Media Channel, welcomed itel as a partner, highlighting the brand’s dedication to providing affordable and high-quality consumer electronics. Shamsudeen noted that itel’s support will include Player of the Match awards and limited-edition gifts.

 

The collaboration underscores itel’s role in enhancing the tournament experience while celebrating sporting excellence and community engagement.
