It'd be a huge moment for Brighton star Welbeck to score against Man Utd - Onuoha

Former Manchester City defender Nedum Onuoha, who hails from Nigeria, has disclosed that Brighton & Hove striker Danny Welbeck has something to prove in the Emirates FA Cup semifinal showdown against Manchester United at Wembley on Sunday.
Manchester United are seeking to regain their winning form after suffering a humiliating defeat to Sevilla in the quarterfinals of the Europa League in their previous match.
Welbeck spent thirteen years with Manchester United, winning the Premier League and League Cup during his tenure at Old Trafford. He later joined Arsenal, then moved to Watford before finally settling with Brighton in 2020.
At Manchester United, the 32-year-old Ghanaian-born forward scored 29 goals in 142 appearances under the tutelage of legendary manager Sir Alex Ferguson. Since his departure, Welbeck has found the net four times in eleven matches against his former club.
"In fairness to Danny Welbeck, he'll be going out there and he'll try and prove a point.
"I played with Danny as well and he does like to wind people up and scoring against United, beating them and getting to the final with Brighton that'd be a huge moment for him.
"It's so interesting as well because after this game's finished the standing of the team that goes to play against Manchester City in that final, like how the season finishes, will dictate how much a favorite City will be because they will be favorite against both," Onuoha said.
