Italian Serie B club Feralpisalò has expressed a strong interest in securing the signing of Joel Ideho, who was invited to the Nigerian U20 national team, the Flying Eagles, for the 2023 Africa U20 Cup of Nations and the FIFA U20 World Cup.
The talented winger, who recently departed Arsenal after his contract expired, is actively searching for a new club to continue his development.
Feralpisalò is currently engaged in negotiations with Ideho and his representatives, although an agreement has not been reached at this stage.
As Ideho awaits a new opportunity, he is currently training independently in the Netherlands, preparing for a potential move to a new team.
While Premier League newcomers Burnley had shown interest in signing the Dutch-born Nigerian prospect, it appears that Feralpisalò has emerged as a front-runner in the race to secure his services.
The versatile forward, who can play in various positions across the frontline but primarily operates as a winger, joined Arsenal on a professional contract in October 2020, following his stints at Ajax Amsterdam and youth teams such as RKTVV, SC 't Zand, and Willem II.
Although Ideho did not make his professional debut during his time at Arsenal, he was regularly promoted to first-team training sessions under the guidance of manager Mikel Arteta, highlighting the potential he possesses.
Having trained with the Flying Eagles for major international tournaments, Ideho's abilities have caught the attention of Feralpisalò, who are keen to secure his signature and harness his talent within their squad.
