Italian commentator and sports journalist Carlo Alvino has asserted that Napoli are not overly concerned about Victor Osimhen's transfer situation, as no club except Saudi Pro League's Al-Ahli is prepared to meet his hefty release clause.
Despite interest from Manchester United, Arsenal, PSG, Al-Ahli, and Al-Hilal, Napoli remains confident they can sell the Super Eagles forward this summer.
The 2022/2023 Serie A champions have based their summer strategy on the sale of the reigning CAF Player of the Year, with Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku as one of their potential targets.
Osimhen, 25, is eager to move to the Premier League. While Chelsea has withdrawn their interest, Manchester United and Arsenal reportedly remain interested in acquiring his services.
However, both Premier League clubs are reluctant to activate his release clause and would prefer Napoli to lower his valuation before proceeding with their pursuit.
Besides paying his release clause, potential buyers would also need to match his wage demands, as he is currently Napoli's highest-paid player in the club's history.
In an interview with Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli via Mondo Napoli, Alvino remarked that the Parthenopeans are unconcerned about their star striker's transfer situation, stating, "Osimhen? Napoli is calm, it's up to Victor to decide on his future. PSG and English (Premier League) clubs are interested in him, I don't rule out Saudi Arabia. Napoli knows that the commitment made by Calenda will be kept."
While Al Ahli is reportedly willing to meet Osimhen's valuation, the Saudi Pro League side's desire appears unlikely to materialize, as the striker prefers a move to the Premier League.
