Destiny Udogie, an Italy U21 international of Nigerian descent, has joined Tottenham Hotspur for pre-season training almost a year after his initial transfer to the club.
In August 2022, the talented defender signed with Spurs but was immediately loaned back to Udinese to continue his development.
However, he has now reported for pre-season training at Tottenham Hotspur under the newly appointed manager, Ange Postecoglou, as confirmed by the club's official Twitter account.
Udogie showcased impressive form for Udinese in the Serie A last season, contributing three goals and four assists in 33 appearances.
His quality has earned him high regard within Tottenham Hotspur, providing him with the opportunity to impress the new manager during pre-season.
As Udogie competes for a place as the left fullback and wingback in the upcoming season, he will face competition from players such as Ivan Perisic, Ryan Sessegnon, and Ben Davies.
Having previously played in the youth team at Hellas Verona, Udogie is contracted with Tottenham Hotspur until the conclusion of the 2026-2027 season.
