Edo Queens and Super Falcons' goal poacher, Folashade Ijamilusi, delivered a spectacular performance on Tuesday, scoring a hat-trick to secure a 4-1 victory over the Green Ladies of Algeria.

The Super Falcons had previously defeated the Algerian Ladies 2-0 on Saturday at the Remo Stars International Stadium in Ikenne.

In the second leg, however, the Super Falcons displayed a more dominant performance, with a blend of home-based and foreign-based players.

It was an especially memorable day for FC Robo Queens’ standout, Ijamilusi, who netted a hat-trick in the 12th, 19th, and 88th minutes. Gift Monday also joined the scoresheet in the 45th minute.

The Green Ladies of Algeria managed a consolation goal in the 42nd minute through Alouache Ouassila, who tapped in a rebound after Super Falcons goalkeeper Rachael Unachukwu mishandled the ball.

The Algerian Ladies had a chance to level the score from the penalty spot in the 39th minute, but the striker sent the ball over the bar.

The coach of the Green Ladies of Algeria, Farid Benstiti, remarked on the sidelines that the international friendly provided an opportunity to test his squad ahead of the World Cup qualifiers.

“This match offers a chance to test my team's strength against Nigeria because we have important qualifiers ahead of us.

"We saw the technical ability to know when to defend and attack against a top team like Nigeria.

"There are strengths and weaknesses in the team that we’ll address, so playing against Nigeria is a valuable experience to measure our level against other teams,” he said.

Ijamilusi, the hat-trick hero, said her performance was a result of collective effort.

“I didn’t score alone. I had the support of my teammates who believe in me, especially our captain, Rasheedat Ajibade.

"It was a good match, and playing alongside our colleagues abroad was special,” she said.

Tenerife FC striker Monday added that there was little difference between players based in Europe and those playing in Nigeria, noting that they only had different opportunities.

“There’s no real difference between us playing in Europe and those in Nigeria; it's just that we have different opportunities.

"This is a good combination, showing how much the Nigerian Women's League has developed. We all played well as a team,” she said.
