Inter Miami wins 3-1 over Los Angeles FC

Inter Miami bounced back from their previous draw against Nashville with an impressive 3-1 victory over reigning champions Los Angeles FC. Once again, Lionel Messi shone, contributing two assists, including a beautifully crafted one for Jordi Alba. The match was graced by several glamorous celebrities, including Prince Harry, LeBron James, Leonardo DiCaprio, Selena Gomez, and Owen Wilson.
 
Facundo Frias opened the scoring for Inter Miami in the 14th minute, capitalizing on a well-timed assist from Thomas Aviles. The second half saw Messi take command of the game. In the 51st minute, a Barcelona-style move, initiated by Sergio Busquets, culminated in a brilliant pass from the Argentine maestro to Jordi Alba, who notched his first MLS goal (he had one goal against Philadelphia in the League Cup).
 
In the 83rd minute, Messi orchestrated another goal, setting up Ecuadorian Leonardo Campania with a precise pass, securing Miami's third goal. Los Angeles managed a consolation goal in extra time through Ryan Hollingshead but couldn't prevent their third consecutive loss.
 
Although the victory didn't propel Inter Miami out of the second-to-last spot in the Eastern Conference, it extended their lead to 25 points. They have two games in hand over the 13th-placed New York Red Bulls, who hold a four-point advantage over Miami. Furthermore, they trail New York City by just three points, with the 12th-placed team holding a five-point lead over Messi and his teammates.
 
Thai Bribo, who had seen limited minutes in the League Cup for the Philadelphia Union, made his Major League Soccer debut during Philly's match against the New York Red Bulls. He came on as a substitute in the 72nd minute and earned a yellow card during his time on the pitch, contributing to his team's 4-1 victory.
