Inter Miami CF has secured midfielder Robert Taylor's services through the 2026 season, with an option to extend his contract into 2027. The announcement came on Friday, reflecting the club's confidence in Taylor's contributions. This season, Taylor has made a significant impact with four goals and four assists across 22 MLS matches, 18 of which he started, helping the team maintain their position as the current Supporters' Shield leaders.
Chris Henderson, Inter Miami's chief soccer officer and sporting director, praised Taylor's performance since joining the team. "Robert has been an outstanding contributor to Inter Miami since he arrived and we're excited to keep him with us for the foreseeable future," Henderson said. Taylor's overall career statistics are impressive, with 16 goals and 19 assists in 101 appearances across all competitions, showcasing his consistent and valuable presence on the field.
The 29-year-old Finland international originally joined Inter Miami from Norwegian top-flight side SK Brann ahead of the 2022 season. Expressing his excitement about the contract extension, Taylor stated, "I'm really happy to sign a contract extension with Inter Miami. It's a big honour and it motivates me even more to win trophies, which we are on the right track for. I hope to leave a good image and play here as long as I can."
