Unbeaten champions, Igbajo United Ladies, have dominated the inaugural Osun Women's Football League with a resounding win.
In a thrilling finale, Igbajo United Ladies clinched the maiden edition title by defeating Segun Akeju Babes 1-0.
Captain Khadijat Ogundele's 21st-minute strike proved decisive, handing Segun Akeju Babes their first concession of the league.
Segun Akeju Babes unleashed a ferocious second-half onslaught, spearheaded by Mercy Otuu's dazzling footwork and Aliat Muritala's relentless drive.
However, Igbajo United Ladies' impassable goalkeeper, Barakat Jimoh, thwarted their efforts with a string of spectacular saves, securing a historic championship win for the 'Kiriji' Warrioress.
Igbajo United Ladies made history as the league's inaugural champions, boasting an impressive unbeaten record and conceding zero goals throughout the tournament.
Robiat 'Halaand' Taofeek of Igbajo United Ladies was the highest goal scorer with two goals and one assist, edging out her teammate Olateju Ariyo for the coveted prize.
Ila Orangun Babes' prolific midfielder, Iqmat AbdulRasheed, was rewarded as the Most Valuable Player of the tournament, while Segun Akeju Babes' goalkeeper, Adekemi Adeyeye, went home with the Best Goalkeeper award.
