“I put my hand in the fire for him” – Gent scout who signed Orban from Stabaek

A dangerous move, according to Gent's head of recruitment strategy Samuel Cardenas, was getting the club to spend €3.3 million for Gift Orban.

Since moving to Gent in January for €3.3 million, Orban has swept throughout Europe. In 14 games with the Buffaloes, he has scored twelve goals, and his contributions have helped the team advance to the playoffs.

Orban is a superb football player, as seen by his skill, ability to elude defenders, shooting accuracy, and speed.

The 20-year-old has earned the January transfer fee paid by Gent, and he has already begun to be linked to bigger teams.

Cardenas, the manager of Gent, has acknowledged that if Orban had not taken a risk, he might not have been playing for the team.
