2024/2025 NPFL Match Day 6: Heartland FC travels to Maiduguri for close shave against El-Kanemi Warriors

Basking in the euphoria of an emphatic 2-0 victory over visiting Niger Tornadoes at Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri, on Sunday, Heartland Football Club has arrived in Maiduguri for the crucial 2024/2025 Match Day 6 tie against El-Kanemi Warriors.


The Naze Millionaires, led by Nigeria’s Golden Eaglets FIFA U-17 World Cup-winning head coach, Emmanuel Amuneke, departed Imo State at the time of this report and are expected to settle down in Maiduguri, the capital city of Borno State, on Friday ahead of Sunday’s clash between the two mid-table clubs.


The match is expected to be explosive, as El-Kanemi Warriors, currently ranked 10th on the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) table after one win and three draws, will look to maintain their unbeaten record, while Heartland Owerri, placed in 16th position, will be looking to re-enact the fine form that helped the team defeat the high-flying Niger Tornadoes, who were undefeated until they met Heartland last weekend.
