Fidelis Ilechukwu, coach of Rangers International, said he always approaches every match with a positive mindset, especially as he prepares to face his former team, Plateau United, in a Match Day 32 NPFL encounter.
The 2023/2024 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Match Day 32 fixture will see the Flying Antelopes aiming to secure a crucial win against Plateau United, who narrowly defeated the 'Coal City' side 2-1 in the reverse fixture at the New Jos Stadium in December 2023.
Ilechukwu, who has consistently emphasized to the club's numerous followers, supporters, and league experts that his team still has much work to do to compete for the league title, also stated that he and his coaching staff needed to raise their game as the season reaches its climax.
Ilechukwu emphasized that the match against Plateau United would receive the utmost attention to ensure the club achieves a positive result and remains in contention for a strong finish to the season.
"I don't want to put undue pressure on myself or the players, but we will do everything we can with our young squad to end the season in a respectable position. Against Plateau United and Kano Pillars, we are stepping up our efforts to achieve a positive result and keep our hopes alive in both competitions," said the reigning LBA Coach of the Month.
"Facing my former club, Plateau United, now led by the former Rangers coach, Mbwas Mangut, we understand the importance of this match, and the players are approaching it with a positive mindset. We are not taking anything for granted and are focused on each game as it comes."
