Haaland scored his 48th goal of the season for City

After losing the first leg 3-0, Bayern manager Thomas Tuchel believed his team needed a miracle to advance, and they missed several chances to get back into the game.
After Ederson had stopped Kingsley Coman's attempt at the opposite end, Haaland quickly countered and made them pay by slamming home a shot into the top corner to complete the assault.
The Norwegian scored 48 goals for City this year with the goal. He missed a penalty following a Dayot Upamecano handball that would have allowed him to get closer to that total early in the game.
Upamecano, who was also easily defeated for the 57th-minute goal, had a nightmare similar to the first leg last week.
Early in the game, the French center back was penalized with a red card for a deliberate foul on Haaland, but it was overturned because the City striker was offside.
After a controversial handball judgment against Manuel Akanji, Joshua Kimmich scored a penalty for Bayern in the 83rd minute, but the German champions were never going to score three more goals in the last seven minutes.
In what at times was a very heated and turbulent match, Boss Tuchel was also sent to the stands after receiving two yellow cards.
There was no question that City deserved to advance over the two games, and their chances of winning the Premier League and FA Cup this year as well as the Triple Crown remain alive.
