For the Bauchi Selected Team match, Plateau United's Moses Adikwu threatened aerially and showed hunger to net a couple of times but would seal his hopes when he put the game at 1-0.
There were strong showings from Harrison Ebah on both halves which depicted his strong attacking and defensive awareness on a number of occasions.
Mancha Sabbath's strong midfield presence ensured his combination skills reigned for most part, including his sublime passing range which equally coincided with Sunday Pam's delectable presence, movement and attempt that nearly hit the mark when he drove to opposition area.
Daniel Onovo's movement and ability to get behind defences a couple of times earned him a close shave and a side netting on occasions.
With the game still one-nil, the Peace Boys' gained advantage as goalkeeper Amah John combined with Christopher Nweze to ensure the game stayed in favour of Plateau United FC.
With anxiety threatening to heighten, Plateau United's Alex Enejo Oche receives the ball and slices a shot to beat Bauchi Selected's Moza Isa for the second goal.
Substitute Victor Makalala comes off the back of some sublime movements in the opposition area to unleash a curling effort that ends in the back of the net which proved enough to earn him the man of the match shield.
The Peace boys finished top of group B with seven points alongside second place Katsina United on four points to set up a quarter final clash against fierce rivals and hosts, Wikki Tourists of Bauchi for Tuesday Aug. 22.
