Gusau/Ahlan Pre-Season Tournament: Plateau Utd FC is inches closer to crown

Having played out out a one all draw in their first meeting, El- Kanemi Warriors once again had another turbulent day against Plateau United in the second semi final game of the on going Gusau/ Ahlan preseason tournament in Bauchi .

Plateau United's Sunday Anthony opens up the defense line with a sublime pass while Mustapha Abdullahi picks it up and combines with Izuchukwu chimezie who wriggles out to set up Yakub Adams who pounces and levels a shot past the opposition goalkeeper to net the games opener in remarkable fashion.

After netting against the Peace Boys in their first meeting, El- kanemi Warriors Samaila bello pounces yet again to net the equalizer in the 40th minute to send the game to the wires , heading into the break to spark up levels of excitement  from the El Kanemi Warriors bench and fans. 

Six minutes after restart, Plateau United's Christopher Nweze comes off a scramble in the opposition box that led to a penalty  call, an opportunity that provided Saidu Salisu the opportunity to net a second for the peace boys in a hostile end to the game  .

Going forward, Moses Adikwu's last ditch intervention and some strong defensive contributions ensured Plateau United parted with all spoils to set up a final meeting against Doma United who pipped Katsina United one nil in the first semi final game.  

The boisterous fans of the club turned up in numbers with renewed belief to seek the title  come Thursday Aug. 24 in the Gusau Ahlan preseason tournament currently underway  in Bauchi.
