Gift Orban's brace holds KAA Gent

Gift Orban displayed his goal-scoring prowess with a brilliant brace at the Chillax Arena in Oostakker, where KAA Gent and Mamelodi Sundowns FC played to an exciting 2-2 draw in KAA Gent's final friendly match of their preseason. 

Mamelodi Sundowns, a 13-time South African champion, took an early lead just four minutes into the game when Ribeiro found the net, demonstrating their determination. 

Coetzee added to the lead with a magnificent long-range strike after 18 minutes, putting Sundowns in a commanding position. 

However, Gent's attacking flair paid off as Orban curled in a beautiful shot, narrowing the gap to 2-1 before halftime. 

The second half saw Gent intensifying their efforts and capitalizing on a defensive mistake to level the scores, with Tissoudali delivering a pass to Orban for a clinical finish. 

Despite tactical changes from Gent and late opportunities for both teams, the match concluded in a hard-fought 2-2 draw. 

For KAA Gent, this game marked the conclusion of their preseason preparations, and they look forward to their upcoming Belgian league campaign, where Orban's involvement suggests he will likely stay with the club despite interest from abroad. 

Their first league match will be a home clash against KV Kortrijk on July 30.
