Genk's rising star Tolu criticized for 'big baby' attitude by ex-coach

Former Amiens head coach, Philippe Hinschberger, didn't hold back in his assessment of Genk forward Tolu Arokodare, likening him to Mario Balotelli due to his carefree attitude and need for a reality check. 

Hinschberger, who had managed Arokodare during his time at Amiens before his move to Genk, is familiar with the player's abilities.

Since joining Genk as a replacement for Paul Onuachu, Arokodare struggled to meet expectations, only managing to score two league goals by the end of the season, which affected Genk's title hopes. 

However, the new season saw Arokodare eager to prove himself, evidenced by his remarkable header in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers' first leg against Servette.

As the crucial second leg approaches, Arokodare is anticipated to be the key figure in securing Genk's victory. 

Despite acknowledging Arokodare's physical prowess and potential, Hinschberger expressed concerns about his inconsistency, making him an unreliable choice in vital moments. 

The coach emphasized the need for improvement, particularly in defending and ball possession, hinting at Arokodare's perceived nonchalant attitude in these aspects of the game.

Hinschberger highlighted Arokodare's tendency to not aggressively attack towards the goal, despite his speed, which has led to criticism. 

Another point of concern for the coach was Arokodare's inconsistency in scoring, as he could score extraordinary goals but also miss easy chances.

Furthermore, Hinschberger pointed out Arokodare's lack of willingness to defend and his apparent physical limitations. 

This has led to mixed reactions from the fans, with some supporting him while others criticize his attitude on the pitch.
