The Technical Adviser of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, Gbenga Ogunbote, expressed disappointment about his side losing to Lobi Stars of Makurdi in Sunday's matchday 10 encounter.
League leaders, Lobi Stars FC, witnessed Gbenga Ogunbote's tactical ingenuity remaining unscathed as the home team secured a late penalty to earn the three points at stake.
Reacting to the loss, Ogunbote stated that his team deserved at least a point in the match, especially considering their efforts at the Lafia City Stadium.
“Sometimes, you put in so much, and you will not get what you deserve. In this game, at worst, we deserve to go home with a point, but unfortunately, it went the other way around.
“I think we were a little bit careless to have conceded that penalty, but that's one of those things. We take the positives from it and move on," said the 3SC sweat merchant.
Despite the Match Day 10 loss, the former Sunshine Stars, Rangers International, Remo Stars, and Lobi Stars tactician immediately shifted his attention to the next game.
"This game is gone, and we are already looking forward to the next match, which is a home game against Heartland FC. I hope we will do enough to get the maximum points, which is very important to us," he said.
