Gaziantep FK loans Okereke; Onyedinma, Ladapo join new clubs

Posted : 11 September 2024

David Okereke, previously with Cremonese, has joined Turkish Super Lig side Gaziantep FK on a season-long loan. The deal includes an option for a permanent transfer at the end of the season. Okereke, who has featured in the Champions League seven times, has accumulated 57 goals and 26 assists in 268 appearances throughout his career.

He has already begun training with his new squad, preparing for his potential debut match against Sivasspor on September 14.

Fred Onyedinma, originally from Lagos, has rejoined Wycombe Wanderers in EFL League One on a free transfer. This marks his fourth spell at the club. Onyedinma was recently released by Luton Town after his contract ended on June 30, 2024.

Previously, Onyedinma had two loan periods at Wycombe Wanderers during his time with Millwall and made a permanent move to the club in 2019. Despite interest from Turkish First League team Amedspor, he chose to return to Wycombe.

Freddie Ladapo, a former free agent, has secured a new position just eleven days after leaving Ipswich Town. He has signed a two-year contract with Huddersfield Town in League One. Throughout his career, the 31-year-old forward has scored 95 goals, including 67 in League One with various clubs.

Ladapo has been given the number 19 shirt at Huddersfield Town and is ready to join the team immediately.
