Napoli striker Victor Osimhen, currently on loan to Galatasaray, may soon be joined by his international teammate Raphael Onyedika at the Turkish club. Osimhen recently completed a season-long loan deal, and there are now discussions about adding Onyedika to the squad.
The reigning Turkish Süper Lig champions have reportedly agreed on personal terms with Onyedika for a five-year contract. The deal would see the Nigerian midfielder link up with his compatriot in Istanbul, further strengthening Galatasaray’s squad.
However, negotiations with Club Brugge, where Onyedika currently plays, are still ongoing. The Belgian side rejected Galatasaray’s initial offer, and both clubs have yet to settle on a transfer fee. The transfer window is nearing its close, adding pressure for an agreement.
Onyedika is eager to make the move to Turkey, expressing his desire to join Galatasaray. He hopes that a deal can be finalized before the transfer window shuts, allowing him to reunite with Osimhen and compete in the Turkish league.
Last season, Onyedika played a crucial role in Club Brugge's success in the Jupiler Pro-League. He was particularly impactful during the playoffs, scoring three goals in nine matches, helping his team secure vital points.
Despite interest from clubs like Crystal Palace and Barcelona, Onyedika has remained with Club Brugge throughout the summer transfer window. The Belgian club has been open to letting him go, but no deal has materialized so far.
Onyedika also featured for Nigeria in their goalless draw against Rwanda in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. He came on as a substitute in the second half, replacing Fisayo Dele-Bashiru in the match.
