Fulham, a Premier League club, is determined to secure a contract extension for the Manchester-born Nigerian central defender, Tosin Adarabioyo. Adarabioyo, a product of the Manchester City academy, currently has approximately four months remaining on his contract with Fulham. If a new deal is not reached, he will become a free agent in the upcoming off-season.
The speculation surrounding Adarabioyo's departure from Fulham intensified in the hours leading up to the closure of the summer transfer window. However, a proposed move to Monaco did not materialize, primarily because Fulham did not have a suitable replacement lined up for the talented center-back.
Fulham is keen on retaining Adarabioyo's services at Craven Cottage, but the player has yet to make a final decision, keeping the club in suspense. Despite Fulham's efforts, several Premier League, Serie A, and Ligue 1 teams have expressed interest in signing Adarabioyo. Notably, Liverpool is rumored to be considering him as a potential replacement for Virgil van Dijk.
Adarabioyo, aged 26, is an attractive prospect for many Premier League clubs due to his status as a homegrown player, having spent a significant portion of his career at Manchester City. Additionally, teams in France and Italy are interested in signing him because he holds a Nigerian passport.
Since joining Fulham in October 2020, Adarabioyo has showcased his abilities, contributing four goals and two assists in 123 appearances across all competitions.
