France gain victory 4-0 over Morocco in Women's World Cup with goals from Le Sommer and Diani

Eugenie Le Sommer showcased her prowess by netting twice, propelling France comfortably into the quarter-finals of the Women's World Cup. They dealt a crushing blow to Morocco's dream run in the tournament.
France asserted their dominance early on, securing a commanding 3-0 lead against Morocco by halftime in Adelaide. Goals from Kadidiatou Diani, Kenza Dali, and Le Sommer painted a clear picture of France's superiority. Le Sommer added her second goal after 70 minutes, sealing their triumph.

Le Sommer clinched the third goal as Morocco's defensive efforts faltered, with the ball falling kindly to her after El Chad's clearance deflected off Dianni.
In the later stages of the match, as Morocco's defense tired, Le Sommer capitalized once again, heading in a deep cross from Vicki Becho to secure France's fourth goal.
France's consistent performance in recent World Cup editions has seen them reach the quarter-finals for the fourth consecutive time. With notable teams like the United States, Germany, Brazil, and Canada eliminated, France now envisions a promising path to tournament victory.
While Morocco, the first Arab nation to compete at the World Cup finals, achieved an impressive second-place finish in their group, their hopes were dashed by France's commanding display. Despite Morocco's efforts, they were unable to break through France's solid defense and overcome their superior opponents.
