Eugenie Le Sommer showcased her prowess by netting twice, propelling France comfortably into the quarter-finals of the Women's World Cup. They dealt a crushing blow to Morocco's dream run in the tournament.

In the later stages of the match, as Morocco's defense tired, Le Sommer capitalized once again, heading in a deep cross from Vicki Becho to secure France's fourth goal.

While Morocco, the first Arab nation to compete at the World Cup finals, achieved an impressive second-place finish in their group, their hopes were dashed by France's commanding display.
