Former Super Eagles defender joins Abia Warriors tent

Nigeria Premier League side, Abia Warriors Football Club of Umuahia has acquired the services of former Nigeria international, Ifeanyi Anaemena.

The centre back joins Abia Warriors following spells with Anambra Pillars, Giwa FC, Enyimba international, Rivers United and most recently Remo Stars.

Speaking shortly after he was unveiled, the Anambra state born defender expressed his readiness to help the club achieve success this season.

“I will bring my wealth of experience which I gained from playing in the national team and from other professional football clubs to help the club achieve its target,” the former Nigeria international said.

He also enjoined the club’s fans to give the team massive support as the players will do their utmost to meet their expectations.

“I pray the fans to give massive support to the team no matter the situation on the pitch, it’s important to the team.”

“The players in the club are hardworking and the fans should expect the best of football from them.”

Anaemena has been assigned jersey number 28 ahead of the new football season.
