Former Lazio star predicts Victor Osimhen as Serie A's top player

Former Lazio midfielder Ogenyi Onazi passionately advocates for Victor Osimhen, currently playing for Napoli, to receive the prestigious accolade of Serie A's best player this season.

In an interview with TMW, as reported by Tutto Atalanta, Onazi expressed his unwavering belief that Osimhen's exceptional performances in both Serie A and the UEFA Champions League this season make him a deserving candidate for the coveted Most Valuable Player award. 

With an impressive tally of 21 league goals, Osimhen has played a pivotal role in leading Napoli to the verge of clinching their first Scudetto title in over three decades. 

Furthermore, he contributed five crucial goals that propelled Napoli to the quarterfinals of the Champions League for the first time in the club's history.

Given Osimhen's remarkable achievements as the leading scorer in Serie A, Onazi firmly asserts that his compatriot possesses all the necessary qualities and abilities to claim the distinguished honor of being named the best player in the league.

"He deserves the MVP award without a shadow of a doubt for what he has done in Serie A and also for what he has done this season in the Champions League. I have no doubts.

"Victor is still growing and will do even better," Onazi said.
