FC ONE Rocket suffers robbery attack on Lagos' return

Players and officials of the Nigeria National League (NNL) side, FC ONE Rocket, were attacked by armed robbers on Monday in Ihiala, Anambra State, while returning from Lagos, where they had played a league game against Ikorodu City the previous weekend.

The incident, which occurred shortly after sunset, resulted in some members of the Indomitables being robbed of their mobile phones.

Thankfully, no lives were threatened or injuries sustained as the attackers fled when bright lights from approaching vehicles towards the location of the incident scared them away, effectively halting their operation.

Undeterred by the attack along the Onitsha-Owerri Road, the team continued its journey and arrived in Uyo the same night.

Describing the situation as unfortunate, General Manager, Ubong Essien, stated that the Indomitables are determined to shake off this setback and continue preparing for their upcoming league games.
