FC Basira unveils new Technical Adviser

Nigeria National League (NNL) side, FC Basira, has unveiled Aminu Musa as its new technical adviser ahead of the 2024/2025 NNL season.


Led by its Chairman, Mohammed Egye, the mandate given to the newly appointed coach is to build a formidable team that will not only compete in the NNL but also fight for one of the playoff spots for the NPFL by the end of the regular season.

 


The profile of Aminu Musa, the new Technical Adviser of FC Basira:


Aminu Musa is a coach well-grounded in grassroots football with years of experience, having managed teams like Enyimba, Giwa FC, and the first NPFL winners, Mighty Jets International of Jos. He is poised to lead FC Basira to the next tier of the Nigerian league.


A goalkeeper par excellence in his playing days, Musa is no stranger to talent discovery in all areas of the game. Despite his soft-spoken nature, he is known for being result-oriented.


Until his last role at Mighty Jets International FC in 2023, Aminu Musa had stints with Yobe Desert Stars (2017), Enyimba FC (2015-2016), and Giwa FC (2012-2014).


He was part of the underdog Giwa FC team that defied the odds to finish the regular season in 4th place before being acquired by Nigeria’s most successful team, Enyimba FC.


Aminu Musa holds the following certifications:
- Basic Certificate in Coaching, Jos (1995)
- NIS (Certificate of Participation), Ilorin (2004)
- National Institute for Sports, Basic Coaching in Football, Lagos (2006)
- National Sports Commission, North Central, Jos (2014)
- CAF C Licence (2017)


The club emphasized that Aminu’s mandate is to build a reputable team capable of competing at the highest level and to develop the FC Basira brand, making it one of the top teams in Nigeria.
