Fabio Carvalho in talks for permanent transfer as he seeks regular game time
Posted : 30 May 2023
In quest of regular playing time, Fabio Carvalho may be considering leaving Liverpool after the Reds allegedly received a permanent transfer proposal.
After joining Liverpool on a five-year deal in the summer of 2022 for a basic cost of £5 million from Fulham, the Portuguese forward was unable to settle in.
Fabrizio Romano claims that a Champions League team has begun negotiations with Liverpool about perhaps acquiring Carvalho on a long-term basis.
Although the Reds are reluctant to let him leave on a long-term basis, they may put a buy-back provision in his selling deal so that if he does leave in the future, they might be able to re-sign him for a reduced price.
The 20-year-old has made 22 appearances in all competitions and has only played 727 minutes, mostly as a substitute. He is allegedly ready to find consistent playing time somewhere.
He has already been advised that he will be free to depart and is not in Jurgen Klopp's plans for the 2023–24 period; a loan move would be the best course of action.
