Brazilian midfielder Fabinho has completed his move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad from Liverpool on a three-year contract.
The 29-year-old did not join the Reds in their recent training camp in Germany, as Al-Ittihad made a £40 million bid for him.
Fabinho was also left out of Liverpool's trip to Singapore to finalize the transfer.
Having represented his country 29 times, he joined Liverpool in July 2018 from Monaco for a fee of approximately £39 million.
In an emotional farewell message, Fabinho expressed his love for Liverpool and thanked the club and its fans for the memorable five years he spent there.
Fabinho's move to Al-Ittihad is part of the club's ambitious recruitment strategy this summer, which also saw them sign high-profile players like Ballon d'Or winner Karim Benzema, former Chelsea midfielder N'Golo Kante, and ex-Celtic forward Jota, under the management of Nuno Espirito Santo.
During his time at Liverpool, Fabinho played a crucial role in the team's successes, including winning the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, League Cup, and the FIFA Club World Cup.
Liverpool expressed their gratitude to Fabinho for his contributions to the club's achievements over the last five years.
In addition to Fabinho, midfielder Jordan Henderson also made a move to Saudi Arabia, joining Steven Gerrard's Al-Ettifaq.
Liverpool has witnessed a significant midfield overhaul this summer, with James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, and Naby Keita also departing after their contracts expired.
Following Henderson's departure, center-back Virgil van Dijk has been named as the new captain of Liverpool, with defender Trent Alexander-Arnold taking up the role of vice-captain, replacing Milner.
