Extravagant ‘Beating’ As Liverpool Pulled Man Utd Chance Backwards

The 7-0 beating of Manchester United by Liverpool at Anfield was arguably the biggest Premier League thrashing of all time.
In a remarkable performance by Jurgen Klopp's team, Cody Gakpo, Darwin Nunez, and Mohamed Salah each scored two goals, and Roberto Firmino added a seventh as United capitulated to scenes of hysterical celebration from the home crowd.

Despite having an 11-game winning run and having recently overcome a six-year trophy drought, Erik ten Hag's team was completely outmatched and conceded six goals in the second half on a night that Liverpool fans will never forget.

Although Bruno Fernandes and Marcus Rashford missed decent opportunities in the first half, United did have opportunities. However, two goals in short succession early in the second half resulted in a thrashing as United gave up. Liverpool is on the rise, with renewed expectations of finishing in the top four.
On Saturday at 12.30 pm, Liverpool plays host to Bournemouth in the Premier League. On March 15 at 8 p.m., they will travel to Spain to face Real Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League round of 16 matchup.
