Expert confirms Tottenham eyeing Nigerian prospect to replace Kane

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Gift Orban, the Nigerian striker from Gent, is being considered by Tottenham Hotspur as a potential replacement for Harry Kane in case the Englishman departs this summer. 

Kane has been linked with a move to Bayern Munich, and the Bavarian club remains hopeful of securing a deal before the transfer window closes on September 1st. 

Despite Tottenham rejecting two initial bids from Bayern, the German club is reportedly planning to make another offer in the region of £100 million to entice Spurs' chairman Daniel Levy to sell their star striker.

While Tottenham's primary target to replace Kane is Nottingham Forest's Brennan Johnson, manager Steve Cooper is reluctant to part ways with the young forward. 

As a result, Tottenham is exploring alternative options, with Gift Orban emerging as a potential candidate. 

The 21-year-old striker had a remarkable season with Gent in Belgium, scoring 20 goals in 22 appearances. His impressive form has garnered interest from other European clubs as well, making him a highly sought-after talent in the transfer market.

Tottenham's interest in Orban has been confirmed by Romano, who mentioned that the London club is closely monitoring the striker's situation. 

Orban's goal-scoring abilities and strong performances in pre-season and competitive games have caught the attention of Spurs' scouting team. 

As the transfer window progresses, the situation surrounding Harry Kane's potential departure and the pursuit of Orban as his replacement remains a focal point of interest for Tottenham fans and football enthusiasts alike.
