EXCLUSIVE: Delta FA Cup: Winners to receive 5M And N300,000 for Male and Female Category --- Chairman

The Chairman of the Delta state Football Association Kenneth Nwaomucha has revealed that winners of the State Football Association Cup would go home with N500,000 and N300,000 respectively for the male and female category of the state FA Cup.

The retired footballer also said there would be other consolation prizes to honour the players.

He noted that the cash prize money was reduced from N700,000 in 2022 to N500,000 due to paucity of funds and lack of sponsorship.

"Our sponsors cannot cope with the short timing of the competition this year.

"You may also understand that the election exercise also affected the system.

"The runners-up will receive cash prize of N300,000 and N200,000,'' he said.

Africa Sport Network reports that Delta Queens will take on Royal Queens by 1p.m in the female category, while Warri Wolves will slug it out against Osevan Academy in the male category by 3p.m on Sunday, April 23, at the Stephen Keshi stadium Asaba.
