Ruben Shakpoke, son of former Super Eagles defender Jero Shakpoke, has been signed by West Brom according to their official website, securing a one-year contract with a possible extension under the club's option.
After impressing during trials and showcasing his potential in the Premier League 2 matches against Aston Villa and Blackburn Rovers, the 19-year-old forward scored in the latter game, gaining praise from Academy manager Richard Stevens.
Shakpoke's humility and adaptability to West Brom's ethos have led Stevens to believe he'll flourish at the club.
Having left Aston Villa after battling injuries during a three-year tenure, Shakpoke is eager for a fresh start at West Brom and anticipates brighter prospects ahead.
