Rangers FC manager, Michael Beale, expressed his joy at Leon Balogun's return to the club, highlighting the Super Eagles defender's brief stint at QPR in the Championship last season.
Balogun, who previously spent two years at Ibrox Stadium from 2020 to 2022, has signed a new one-year contract.
Beale, who had previously served as a first-team coach under Steven Gerrard during Balogun's initial spell at Rangers, reunited with the defender at QPR in the English Championship last season before taking charge of the Scottish club.
The manager had emphasized the importance of adding experience to the squad, and Balogun's return not only contributes on the pitch but also as a leader within the dressing room, according to Beale.
Expressing his admiration for Balogun, Beale commended the Nigerian international's qualities as both a person and a football player.
He highlighted their successful period together at Rangers, which included winning the title in 2021, the Scottish Cup in 2022, and reaching the Europa League final in the same year.
Looking ahead to the upcoming season, Beale mentioned that while Balogun's return is a significant signing, more transfers are expected as the club continues to work on strengthening the squad.
As they move forward, Beale and Balogun have been in regular communication, with the manager praising the defender's dedication to fitness and expressing his delight at Balogun's decision to rejoin the team.
