Three-time Danish champions FC Midtjylland have officially announced the acquisition of Nigerian striker Stanley Iheanacho through a statement on their official website.
The 18-year-old player, described as lightning fast, will begin his FC Midtjylland journey with the U19 team.
Iheanacho has signed a five-year contract, binding him to the Jutland club until the summer of 2028.
Notably, he represented the Golden Eaglets in the 2021 WAFU Zone B Tournament, which served as a qualifier for the Africa U17 Cup of Nations.
With his physicality and speed, Iheanacho has demonstrated a knack for scoring goals throughout his youth career.
Expressing his delight about the move to FC Midtjylland, he shared, "I'm really happy, and it's something I've been waiting for for a long time. It has been a hard fight to get here, so to be standing here now means a lot to me."
Iheanacho honed his skills at FC Hearts, an academy based in Abuja, which has also produced talents like former Nigeria U17 captain Musa Muhammed and Ifeanyi Mathew, among others.
At FC Midtjylland, Iheanacho joins the U19 team alongside Isa Musa, Jamiu Musbaudeen, and Obule Moses, where they will continue their development and strive to make an impact.
