Awoniyi, the former Union Berlin standout, continued to impress with his agility and strength, notably scoring Forest's opening goal against Manchester United in a thrilling six-goal clash that captivated the spectators.
In the match's initial moments, Awoniyi capitalized on a corner kick delivery, breaking through the Red Devils' defense and finding the back of the net just two minutes into the game, showing remarkable composure.
Although Forest eventually suffered a 3-2 loss to Manchester United, Hodge highlighted Awoniyi's exceptional efforts, labeling his forward play as "absolutely extraordinary" and praising his clever decision-making during the goal-scoring opportunity.
Looking forward, Nottingham is gearing up to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, aiming to rebound from their Manchester United defeat and showcase their resilience.
