European clubs consider Harry Kane's summer sale, Bayern Munich rejected bids, Manchester United hesitant

Posted : 24 July 2023
Despite Tottenham's insistence that they are not interested in offers for Harry Kane, some of Europe's top clubs believe there is still a possibility of his sale this summer.

Bayern Munich has already had two bids rejected for the 29-year-old striker and even met with Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy. Manchester United also inquired about Kane but backed off upon learning the high cost of the deal.

Kane's contract with Spurs expires next summer, and while Tottenham has given the impression that they are willing to let him enter the final year of his contract, this approach comes with risks.

If Kane does not sign a new contract, he could potentially sign a pre-contract agreement with an overseas club in January or join a Premier League rival for free next summer.

There is a prevailing sentiment in the football community that Tottenham does not want to lose Kane without generating revenue, and there's a belief that they may eventually relent, leading to a log-jam of interest around several top strikers in Europe.

Juventus' Serbian striker, Dusan Vlahovic, and Eintracht Frankfurt's French forward, Randal Kolo Muani, are among the players attracting attention.

Bayern Munich is a serious option for both Vlahovic and Muani, but they will not make a move until they are certain that they cannot secure Kane. Additionally, Paris St-Germain is in need of a new striker due to the Kylian Mbappe situation, as the French forward is entering the last year of his contract, and the club is looking to sell him.
