Enyimba, Remo Stars, to begin continental actions in August

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Wednesday announced August as the commencement date for the continental football for CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation League.
The Nigeria's Representatives in this year's CAF inter-club competitions, according to the highest ruling football body, announced dates for the start of the preliminary.
Nine-times and 2022/2023 NPFL champions, Enyimba International, second placed Remo Stars and third placed Rivers United, have the automatic tickects to the continental showpiece while either Bendel Insurance or Rangers International will complete the Nigerian clubs in this year's competitions.
According to CAF, August 18th-20th will be the dates for the first leg of the preliminary round of the Champions League and Confederation Cup.
The second leg of the preliminary round has been fixed for the 25th - 27th of August, 2023.
The winners over the two legs will qualify for the first qualifying round of the competition.
Rivers United, despite crashing out of the champions league, made it to the quarter-final of the Confederation Cup.
While Remo Stars, Plateau United, and Kwara United all crashed out in the qualifying round of the competition.
