Enyimba Remains Winless in Seven Matches

Posted : 12 December 2024

Following a recent series of disappointing results, the players of Enyimba FC have apologized to their fans, assuring them that they are committed to turning things around for the better.

The apology was issued after their goalless draw and poor performance against Sunshine Stars FC of Akure in an NPFL rescheduled matchday 13 encounter, which ended 0-0 at the Enyimba International Stadium, Aba, on Wednesday.

While at the Owerri Airport in Imo State en route to Lagos for their CAF Confederation Cup Group D matchday 3 encounter against Black Bulls FC of Mozambique, the club's Assistant Captain, Paschal Eze, spoke on behalf of the players. He pleaded with fans to be patient, promising that they would work harder to achieve better results.

"I want to, on behalf of my colleagues, sincerely apologize to our darling fans for the unsavory results," Eze said. "We are indeed pained that the results have not been going our way in recent games, and I can assure them that we will put in more effort to turn this around for the better."

He acknowledged the players' deep concern over the string of poor results and assured supporters that they have resolved to give their best to make the club and its fans proud once again.

Eze emphasized the importance of fan support during such challenging times, insisting that the difficult phase would soon pass, and the People’s Elephant would return to winning ways.

The team departed Aba for Owerri Airport on Thursday before heading to Lagos, where they will travel to Maputo, Mozambique, for their third group game in this season's CAF Confederation Cup against Black Bulls FC on Sunday.
